Just in: a whole bunch of Arkham House books!
Take a look at what this little bookseller found in the back of an old copy of Bombs Away by John Steinbeck.
That same bookseller once had the honor of selling books with the Awesome crew of Schwartz on Downer in the magical land of Milwaukee, WI. Of course, by the time he started his apprenticeship there, the famed flagship location on Wisconsin Ave. had been closed for a number of years, gone but not forgotten.
It’s testament to the legacy of the Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops that we still come across the books that passed through their hands - this isn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last time we’ll see their signature.
